Applicants must complete one of the following applications and sumbit a cover letter and resume, as well as the Intent Survey for Applicants (Hero Letter) in order to be considered for an interview.

JOB POSTINGS FOR MONUMENT ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL

ELEMENTARY TEACHER POSITIONS (FULL TIME)

Monument Academy Charter School is seeking full time Elementary teachers for the 2012-2013 school year. 

Applicants must meet the criteria to be considered a “Highly Qualified” elementary teacher: 

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or higher, AND
  • Have or be able to obtain a current Colorado Teaching License in elementary education, OR
  • Passed the approved Elementary Education content area assessment (PLACE, Praxis or out of state equivalent) OR
  • Have held a teaching license from Colorado or another state before 7/1/2006 and have teaching and education combined to meet the HOUSSE requirements.

 Familiarity with the Core Knowledge Curriculum desirable.

 

ELEMENTARY PARA PROFESSIONAL (PARA) POSITIONS (part time)

Monument Academy Charter School is seeking Elementary PARAs for the 2012-2013 school year.  PARAs assist teachers with general classroom duties. 

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.  An Associate’s Degree or 48 hours of college, or Work Keys test desirable.   

Familiarity with Core Knowledge Curriculum desirable.

 

ELEMENTARY SPECIAL EDUCATION PROFESSIONAL (PARA) POSITIONS (part time)

Monument Academy Charter School is seeking Elementary Special Education PARAs for the 2012-2013 school year.  Special Education PARAs may work one on one with a student or assist several students as needed.   

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.  An Associate’s Degree or 48 hours of college, or Work Keys test desirable.

ELEMENTARY SPANISH TEACHER (part time)

Monument Academy Charter School is seeking a highly qualified part time teacher for our K-5 Elementary Spanish program for the 2012-2013 school year.

NURSE

Monument Academy Charter School is seeking a NURSE to staff the nurse’s office during school hours. 

The Nurse will be responsible for oversight of nurse’s office, to include, but not limited to, administering, delegating, and overseeing medicines, vision and hearing screening, immunization records, 504 health plans, IEP-SPED consultations.  The nurse will attend to injured, sick and other needs of all students at Monument Academy.  The nurse will be required to carry out necessary medical procedures as required.  The nurse also be responsible for conducting staff training as needed.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with BSN, and have current Colorado or compact state license
  • Have or be able to obtain current CPR certification
  • Ability to obtain Special Services Provider License through CDE prior to start of 2012-2013 school year
  • Ideal candidate would have some experience in a school setting

Track and Field Head Coach and Assistant Coach

Start date: February 21, 2012
End date: May 4, 2012

Monument Academy is hiring a head coach and an assistant coach for the upcoming track and field season to start February 21, 2012.  Some experience coaching or working with children desired.  Please complete the educational support staff application under the Employment section of our website at www.monumentacademy.net and submit it to the attention of:
