Meghan Gifford started teaching at Monument Academy in 2018. However, she was a first grade para for two years from 2015-2017 while she worked on her teaching degree. She student taught in 5th grade at MA at the end of the 2017-2018 school year. Additionally, Meghan attended Monument Academy as a student from 2nd-7th grade, while her dad worked as facilities director/tech extraordinaire, and her mom was PTO Treasurer, President, and the athletic director (not all at the same time!). She jokes that she has lived most of her life at MA.
Meghan graduated from Western Governors University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (K-8) in April 2018. She adores her fantastic five sisters and generous parents, her cat (Cole), art, music, laughter, and anything to do with sunshine and outside (hence the yellow classroom). Her life goals are to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly. She is excited to come “full circle” at MA and to finally be doing what she is so incredibly passionate about.
