Krista Pelley grew up in the southeastern corner of the state in Granada, CO where cattle and crops exponentially outnumber humans. She left Granada and headed north to Fort Collins, CO to study Communications with an emphasis in Business and Education and minor in English at Colorado State University. She pursued a master’s degree in Human Resources and Educational Leadership while teaching English, Speech, and Debate at Loveland High School for five years.
After staying home to raise her four awesome babies, Ms. Pelley returned to the classroom as a middle school ELA teacher, volleyball coach, and team lead at World Compass Academy in Castle Rock, CO. She wrapped up her five years teaching MS to assume the role as one of the assistant principals at WCA after receiving her principal’s license.
In her offtime, she enjoys concerts, cooking, reading, lifting weights, and trying new restaurants (never ordering the same thing twice). She loves movies and oftentimes speaks in movie quotes. Her daughter and three boys keep her plenty busy with extracurriculars and all the things parents do for their kids.
She is excited to join the team at Monument Academy to be part of the already found success and the amazing potential still yet to come. In her words, “It is an honor to serve the community at MA. The staff, students, and families are the source of greatness this school will produce for future generations, and I get to be a member of the vehicle which will deliver such.”
