Enrollment Information

Thank you for your interest in Monument Academy. Monument Academy is a public school of choice. Monument Academy does not discriminate against any person because of any characteristic protected by law. Enrollment in charter schools is available to all students, including students with disabilities, and information about disabilities will not be requested until a student has been admitted and enrolled in a charter school. For questions regarding the admission and enrollment of students with disabilities in charter schools, you may contact our Director of Admission, Amy Zarkovacki, at 719-431-8001 ext. 1012. No tuition is charged with the exception of Preschool. Please keep in mind that the Colorado Department of Education guidelines and District 38 Policy states that a student must be 5 years of age by October 1st to enter Kindergarten and 6 years of age by October 1 to enter 1st grade. Step 1

Step 1) Complete a Letter of Interest.

This is electronic submission will give MA basic information about your child and does not obligate you in any way. This will enable us to contact you with important information regarding the next steps in the enrollment process. Information submitted is kept strictly confidential and is not shared. Once submitted, you will receive a reply within 48 hrs. to confirm receipt.

Step 2

Step 2) Schedule a Tour.

Once the Letter of Interest is received, you will be contacted regarding tour scheduling and the next step toward enrollment.

Step 3) Choice Enrollment and the Waitlist

Beginning January of each year and closing the first part of February, the District 38 Choice Enrollment Window will open for students who wish to attend a school that is not within their assigned attendance area. Monument Academy is considered a school of choice within District 38 therefore students who wish to attend Monument Academy MUST submit a Choice Enrollment Application. Once received, this form will be time and date stamped and your child will be placed on our waitlist accordingly.

Our waitlist priority is as follows:

  1. Students of MA Staff
  2. Siblings of  MA students
  3. D38 Residents
  4. Out of District Residents
  5. Families who have declined a prior seat offer

Step 4

Step 4) Seat Offers

Seat offers will be made, via email, beginning one week after the close of the Choice Enrollment Window and must be accepted within 24hrs. Dependent upon family situation, allowances for this time frame will be considered. We highly recommend that tours have been completed before this time as we cannot hold the seat offer.

Step 5

Step 5) Registration

Upon acceptance of the seat offer, you will receive instructions on how to complete the online registration process. Seats are not guaranteed until ALL requirements have been met as outlined.
