Jill Beattie is a Colorado native. She began working with young children in the mid 1970’s when she was a children’s ski instructor at Winter Park Ski Area, and she has never tired of it. She studied Early Childhood Education and Music in college. She has worked with young children in daycare centers, Catholic Traditional and Montessori School, church nurseries, The Classical Academy, and The YMCA. She loves incorporating music and movement into the daily routine, and accompany the children on guitar, ukulele, dulcimer, autoharp and keyboard.

Kimberly Campbell was born in Pennsylvania. She graduated from Eastern University located in St. Davids, PA in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. After college, Kim pursued a career in collegiate coaching. She was an assistant coach for field hockey and women’s lacrosse at Eastern University (2011-2013) and then at Hendrix College (2013-2014) in Conway, AR. She was the head women’s lacrosse coach from 2014-2019 at Eastern University. Kim also was the librarian at the Episcopal Day School 2011-2012 and the Student Teacher Coordinator in the College of Education at Eastern University from 2015-2018.
Kim has been a preschool teacher at Monument Academy since Fall 2020. She is also the Head Girls Lacrosse Coach (2019 to present) and Assistant Field Hockey Coach (2021 to present) at Palmer Ridge High School.
Kim moved to Colorado in October 2019 and loves being so immersed in nature. It has been such a wonderful place to explore and call home. She loves sports and the avenue that coaching allows to instill strength in young children through sports and teaching. Kim’s Christian faith is an important part of her life. She is also a current member of the United States Women’s Floorball team. She recently competed in the world games in Uppsala, Sweden this past November (2021),

Kate Gosling graduated from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington with a B.A. in Elementary Education and received her M.A. in Education from City University in Seattle, Washington. She has taught Kindergarten, Special Education, first grade, and pre-K students for 27 years. She has worked at Monument Academy since 2012.
Kate and her husband Mark have been Monument residents for 15 years. They have a son and daughter who joined their family through adoption from Russia in 2007. Kate’s interests include reading, singing, sewing, cross stitch, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, learning Russian, and going to Russia once a year to work with orphans, including her family’s sponsor children.

Dr./Mrs. Phillips has been at Monument Academy since 2017 when her family moved here from California. She is married to Mark Phillips, and they have 3 children. Mia has been in education since 1996, and has served as a teacher, principal, dean of students, preschool director, volunteer, educational consultant, and cheer coach. Dr. Phillips also home schooled her children for 3 years before taking the position at Monument Academy.
Dr. Phillips enjoys reading, going to the movies, attending church with her family, and she especially enjoys talking to others about Star Wars and anything Disney related.
Dr. Phillips has her bachelor’s degree in Child Development/Early Childhood with an emphasis in Child Psychology. Her Master’s Degree is in Education, and her doctorate is in Education Administration and Leadership. Her career in education can be highlighted by receiving the Director of the Year by Knowledge Learning, and an award for Beyond the Excellence in Education by the Obama Administration where she attended a dinner in Washington DC and met the First Lady. She has had the privilege of working with programs in the Mulholland Education Corridor, Johnson and Johnson, Samuel Goldwyn Children’s Center, MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority in Los Angeles), and Fox Children’s Center, among others.
Dr. Phillips has also had the privilege of being a speaker for MOPS conventions, Children’s Discovery, ACSI, and other church and educational programs.
